Is the email on the iphone like the email on a blackberry. My mom has the blackberry 8800 and when she gets a email it goes right to the phone and on the tour of the iphone it said on the settings to check the emai every 15 minutes so does it take it to the phone right when it goes to the computer or every 15 minutes.

The iphone does support "blackberry" type email called "push" email thru yahoo. They didn't cover that in the video.
it checks for new email at a preset interval. Its not instant. Say your iphone checks at 12 and you have it check every 15 minutes, if you get an email at 1201 you wont see it till 1215
