Delete it from iTunes and sync the phone - same goes for all your media.

I suppose it does really. I suppose I'm so used to an iPod before this that it doesn't seem at all strange. It feels like home to me.

    to delete played podcast iPhone

    i had the same prob.

i wanted the podcast to self remove once i'd played and resynced.

change the sync FROM 'unplayed' TO 'new' it doesn't make grammatical sense in my mind, but it will sort out the prob.

    regards,

    bruce.

I guess my question is, unless you take a CRAP ton of photos what does it matter if you delete the podcasts right there or not. I mean you can't use the phone as a thumb drive anyway and you can't download anything into the media section anyways. If you want them to auto-delete after viewing/listening follow brucebrendon's advice otherwise I'd like to know why it matters

iPhone DiscMode (Mac and req's jailbrake)

well if you want it mountable you could try:
    http://ecamm.com/mac/iphonedrive/

it's not 100% ideal and i'm not jailbraking myself, i'll wait.
but at least i know the opt is there should i feel the urge.

apple maybe a bit extra cautious about allowing files onto the iPhone incase it opens it up to wide for 'other' stuff to get in and/or out...

You can delete podcasts at least the video type by a short right to left swipe - just like deleting email. I have 1.1.3 and just recently discovered this.

You can do movies too. I had no idea of this feature. Good find.
