custom text messaging tone?

after 30 mins of googling, i finally found out how to get custom ringtones for my iphone, but nothing yet for text-tones. For ringtones i simply downloaded music files that ended in .m4r and synced it in itunes, tada!

Anyone?

At this time on a stock phone there is no option for custom txt tones.

BTW: Nice to see someone doing research first before asking.

by stock i guess you mean "legit".... mine's unlocked and jailbroken, does that change anything?

I believe it does, but I know very little on the subject. Maybe someone that does will help you out. I think I have read that there is a program to allow you to do this.

Cydia has an app called tonefx you can have custom text tones using it.

Its from STE packaging. You can find it under utilities.

thanks Phxblue, but i gave SkyyBoy's post a run and after an hour of research i found out how to make the text tones. Thanks anyway
