hello i was planing on buyin an iphone and getting it unlock to tmobile. but i was wondering.i have i tunes 6.0.4 can i update it to 7 wit out it messing up the phone? some guy told me never update the ituens it might brik the phone??

im not sure but i dont think it matters what version of itunes you have as long as its compatible with iphone i thought it had to be 7 something to work for iphone. And another thing your going to want to get an iphone with 1.1.1 or lower for it to work with tmobile

yea thanks for the quick response... yea i was reading the other threads and found out i cant unlock the new fimware 1.1.2.. unless i have 1.1.1.. so the way u can tell is to look on the box and the 4th n 5th number should be lower than 46 and thats 1.1.1 fimware?

yeah no problem.. Only way to get a 1.1.2 otb to work on another provider is to get turbo sim but i hear they are hard to get...

theres an apple store here in chicago that has some 1.1.1 well they did last week when i called. So i assume theres still some out there that will... Just call the smaller att stores and see what they got.. good Luck...

i called around couple place they didnt kno what i wad talkin about then.. one lady goes ur gonna have to get it from apple...

tell them to look at the iphonoe box and on the bottom where the serial number is ask them if they have any where the serial number is less 46 on the 4th and 5th number
