Default Constant crashing!!!!!!!

I have a legit first gen iphone with the official 2.0 software
and everytime i use my phone now since the update it crashes.
For example i put in my password and then click on safari or
the ipod or whatever and it goes to it and works for a few seconds
and then crashes, the screen turns black and im back at the locked
screen asking for my password.
it sucks and is very frustrating
i cant even enjoy the apps because they crash everytime
and kick me out to my passcode screen.
What is the deal?

My V1 with 2.0 seems at times to be sluggish and it has crashed numerous times with Cro-Mag race game. Even without playing any games, the battery is not lasting as long a before 2.0

Yeah a restore usually fixes all problems. It will work like new. These things happen all the time.

Sometimes the network has an issue on iTunes end. It might be not responding and such. Sometimes it got an error loading it maybe it timed out and you didnt notice. Its really nothing major. Try it again and see what happens. It might be a issue on iTunes end. But don't worry you didn't screw it up.

I crashed a couple of times after updating as well. I kept getting the error messages so I held the top button and the home button until I got the apple symbol then I did a restore and it has been working fine. Just sharing hope it helps.
