Yes, it is a fairly common complaint regarding the phone. Personally, I think it is really the only design flaw that Apple made when they created the iPhone. I agree that it should have been a brushed finish.
A few people have used a metal surfacing pad on the chrome to give the phone a brushed finish, and I think it looks pretty good.
If you take your time and not rush it'll look awesome. I actually did this to my iPhone last week and I absolutely love it! No regrets at all. This is the way Apple should have shipped these phones in the first place.
no scatches, and i dont use any case at all, just a static cling film. and i put it in my pocket, tables and anywhere
im surprised that the screen and the metal part in the back is quite durable

Does the brushed fininsh with the scotch pad imrove the grip at all? The thing sure is slick out of the box, and that's one of the main reasons I use a rubberized skin.
