Can't use Iphone becuase don't have AT&T Please read and help! Thanks

Well see I've been using this iphone for Music so I've been using it as a ipod. I bought it off a friend.
My Iphone is Stuck on the Slide for emergency screen And its showing a Picture for me to connect to itunes so i do and itunes is telling me to activate my "new" iphone with AT&T when i plug into Itunes but i don't have AT&T what do i do?
I knew i should have never done the update that had the Cut and past features.. after i updated the Software it did this.. Now i cant Listen to music. Please help me Thank you so much

Try restoring. It's a iPod Touch if it's not activated.

I've never not had an activated iPhone so I wouldn't know what else to do (and I don't jailbreak/root).

If i unlock it it doesn't make a difference because it is asking me for a social security number and a first and last name for the sim card. If i restore it wont it still ask for that?

And plus i have Verizon so i don't have a SIM card. Like i said i was just using this for the ipod.

try to find someone that has att.ask to use there sim to activate the phone then give them back there sim card.your done

but dude if u unlock it in 3 days (using the new blacksn0w)(b/c it comes out on 11/04/09)it will bypass all that and then put in a sim

See that's what i was gonna do Get some1s sim But i need the social security of the name the account is under. and the first and last name and address and crap but See I don't know if some1 will do that plus if i do do that The AT&T Will see that i activated a Iphone With the kids sim if i get 1 they give me info and the sim and they will charge him for the iphone mounthly.

It won't ask for all that info if the sim is allready been activated before. I have done it to several other phones already. The only time you need to put that kind of info is if you are making your first account with I tunes.

I have even done restores with other peoples sims on my iTunes and it never asked for any info, it just activated the phone automaticly.try it what will it hurt?
