Default Can I get rid of the 'slide to unlock' crap.

I know that you can prevent the iphone from locking in the first place, but that means that the screen just stays lit full power and we already know the battery life is crap.

So can I have the phone lock (screen turns off etc.) but when I press the home button I don't have to do the slide to unlock thingy?

I dont know if u can without jailbreaking, but I don't understand why you would want to. 2 years later I still enjoy it everytime.

Nope. You can't do it through jailbreaking either. Sorry.

You can change it to a tap to unlock if you jailbreak. You just tap once anywhere on the bottom portion of the screen. You can also change the slide to answer and slide to power off to taps. It's faster and easier.

No, but there is a talk dirty to me to unlock
And if you find that the tap to unlock is too sensitive for you, just can just get in the habit of pushing the lock button before putting it in your pocket/purse/man purse/fanny pack etc.

What about "Lick to Unlock" or "Squeeze Between Thighs to Unlock?"

Yeah, that's what's cool about Cydia, it's no holds barred.
They're very quick and easy
