Can I charger this phone turned off? please help!

I tried turning my phone off and plugging it in but it turns the phone back on. Is there anyway to keep the phone off?

hold down the top button untill the the shut down ? occurs. I bet you jsut may be putting the phone to sleep not actually off.

I'm just curious, why do you want to turn your iPhone off when you're charging it?

you gotta first plug it in than turn it off while its plugged in. that should fix your problem

I've charged mine while off before just because. I plugged mine in last night and turned it off.
