camera and photo view crash!!

When i attempt to open my camera or photos it only opens them for half a second then closes the app totally. I havent tried a restore yet, anyone else run into these problems and any solutions or do i need to order a 3g????

Try a hard reset first before doing a restore. Sometimes this will fix the problem.

Yes, then you will restart the phone. See if it helps.

Ok I now have done a full restore and countless hard resets. Still when I attempt to open photos or camera it opens them for a sec but nothing appears then goes to the home screen. Is my phone fubar?

Lets get down to the basics. Did you jailbreak the phone? Because I experienced this problem as well with my jailbroken V1 phone..

the phone is 100% factory. Nothing has been done to it other than what apple had offered. This did start after the 3g update came out and I do have aim, sudoku and sports tap apps.

If you want to fix it, just restore it as a new phone because there is obviously something wrong with it.

You think the apps are doing it? The phone is factory nothing had been hacked

I doubt the apps are the problem or more people would be having the same problem you are having. If I were you, I would just restore my phone as a new phone or just take it into the Apple store but they'll probably just tell you the same thing. They might replace it for you. Here's what I suggest: make an appointment at the Genius Bar and tell them your issues and they should either try and help you and most likely fix it or replace it. Either way, the chances are you win.
