Like I said, I highly doubt its the apps or more people would be reporting this problem. So, I suggest you just take it to Apple and go from there. Read what I said before this.

Default You are not alone...

I have had the same problem for a couple of weeks and can't shake it with any amount of restarting or restoring. Please let me know what the geniuses say!

Alrighty, I FIXED IT!!! It was a bear, but I got it done. I downloaded (for the Mac) PhoneView from http://ecamm.com/mac/phoneview/

There is a free demo... I opened that and went to preferences and turned on Advanced mode. Then, I went to the root folder of the iPhone called "DCIM" and saw a folder called "101"... digital cameras use folders in the DCIM directory for picture storage. In the 101 folder were a bunch of files ending in ".thm"... I had read from the internet that sometimes the presence of these files without corresponding .jpg files is indicative of some kind of corruption. I deleted the entire 101 folder and lo and behold, the photo app and camera app now work properly.

I hope this information is helpful to others with this problem!!!

IT WORKED!

Thank you for helping me fix this problem.

I had several of those folders with .thm files in them. Deleted them all (101, 102, 103) and the camera works great now.

Here's another piece of the puzzle:

Using ImageReady to bulk delete files from the iPhone may be a very bad idea.

In my case, the problem is either related to that or to a problem with the 2.0.2 auto delete after download utility interfacing iPhoto/iPhone.

Surprised to need something like Phone View with an Apple product, but glad it exists.
