Business Accounts..kind of
Alrighty. I have an interesting situation.... About 6 years ago my family signed up for cingular back when it was new..i think....anyway. We have a family owned business so we put i under the company name but made sure that it wasn't put as a business account. There is only one family plan and I get my iphone yesterday and of course wouldnt you know that I can't activate my phone because it says that it isnt eligible. So I call AT&T and I ask them about it and they you should be just fine let e go ahead and activate it for you but I have to transfer you to a ur business department. THey transfer me and I wait for about 30 minutes and get ahold of someone. I tell the my situation and they ask why is it still under a business name and I tell them that we honestly didnt think it would matter since the bill is going straight to our home address and that there are two accounts under the same business name and one isnt a business. She keeps teling me the policy and the funny thing is my dad got an iphone and he is on the same plan and he called and they setup his phone no questions askes. The customer service rep sometimes they just do it because they dont realize it is a business account...I try again and again and then i ask for the supervisor and ask them wha I can do that they have to change the name on the account to a personal name. I was like sweet that doesnt sound that hard, but the luck I was having it seemed way too easy. He starts to change it but the problem is now that we have to have the original person who started the account call back and confirm that it is alright that they change it to a personal account instead of a business....and that we won't be able to do it til monday because that dept isnt open on weekends..but that I could go to a store and od it. I try that and get told that they don't allow account changes in store but that they could set me up with customer service and they could do it. I told them that customer service sent me to you guys and now they are sending me back to customer service....I want the phone to be up and running. I did tell them that there hasn't been more than one plan on the account. We are family owned that the bill is payed by my mom and they still stand that even though only one family plan is on there that it is considered a business account and we don't have any sort of discounts like business do...i just don't understand why they just wont activate my phone....really irritating.....now i have to wait until monday so my mom can call and tell to instead of it have c/o to her name that it hsould just be under her name is really stupid.....
