Better to download 2.0 first, then update?
I am reading through many of these posts and it's clear that one of the major problems is timing out while the update is happening. Is it better to first download the update BEFORE updating the phone? At least with that approach there is no risk of getting stuck in the middle of the update/sync if something craps out.

I just updated my wife's phone and her's took almost an hour from start to finish. The majority of the time was spent waiting for it to restore her music and video. The activation took all of a few seconds, as opposed to this morning when mine took 30 minutes or so.
It takes a while to do the prepare and restore phase so just be patient |
