Default Best methods for avi video's on iPhone?

So I see theres a bunch of threads that cover all sorts of issues, but they are scattered. I thought I'd make a single thread where people can post their best tips, and what tools they use, to put video on their i's.

One question I have seen all over the place, and posted multiple times, is people asking how to take full .avi movies and put them on their device.

Most full-length feature film .avi's range from 680 to 720 mb's. What tools do you guys use to convert the film, and also lower the file size so you can put more on less? What settings do you use?

Hope this helps out more people than just myself!

What settings do you use? I'd love to get a 700mb movie down to 300-500 without losing too much quality while still being able to play it full screen on the iphone.

what are your results though? does it just convert, or does it decrease the file size?

a 700MB file converts down to for Video - 359MB at basic, 448MB at Medium, and High at 538 and Best at 628. the default is Medium. You can tweak audio as well and get smaller. Just download it and play with it, its free!

Great program and is very fast. It utilizes all 4 cores on my quad and takes about 8 mins to complete.
