Backup

I want to create a backup of my wife's iPhone on my MacBook but i don't want to sync any content. Her iPhone is synced via her PC, which is about to die I think. I want the iPhone to remain the same.

Do you just have to uncheck all the sections and it will not do anything when it is synced? Or by unchecking the sections will it erase everything?

If you uncheck various sections, it just bypasses them. I won't erase anything. I would suggest that you make a whole new iTunes copy for her with her stuff on it.
