What do you mean by reformat? The iPhone is not like the iPod where formatting becomes an issue. Whenever I sync my Mac formatted iPod to my PC, I get the message that I can neither transfer files or update using the Windows platform. On the other hand, I can use the Windows formatted iPod with my Mac. With regard to the iPhone, I only run into problems when I try to sync the iPhone with a different iTunes library (PC doesn't like my Mac library, vice versa). There is no reformatting required between platforms.

Are you planning on restoring to factory settings?

no not anymore cuz I think I figured out whats wrong, everytime I connect my phone through use (front use ports) its gets disconnected but if I connect it through the back it works fine...why is that?.
