Default AT&T Answer Tones compatible with iPhone?
Is the AT&T Answer Tones compatible with the iPhone? Answer Tones is when someone calls you and they hear music instead of ringing.

yep it sure is. i bought one a little over a year ago when i had a slvr l7 and it carried over to my iphone. although it expired so i dont have one anymore. it should work fine. (they arent the best of quality though. even on the iphone)

Answer Tones are a service offered through AT&T regardless of the make of your phone. I've had Answer Tones on the iPhone almost since I got it and they work great, or so I hear.

Why wouldnt it work? It doesnt go through the actual phone. It goes through AT&T and your line, not phone.

I co sign for this. I've never been a fan of those or even ring tones for that fact. I guess its an age thing. I call alot of customer on my job & 91% of the time its some loud music that gives me a head ache.

The same reason people put bumper stickers on their vehicles that they cant see while driving it, or get a tattoo that they either wont look at or cant see.
It's another way to make a statement, show some personality.
Why do you care about what other people do? It's no more annoying than listening to the normal ring while waiting for someone to pick up.
