Default Applications Indicator in iTunes

...i noticed the Applications indicator in iTunes under the Libarary section when i was connected to intetnet last night...i'm at my desk, not connected to the internet and had to quit iTunes, relaunched iTunes and the Applications indicator is not there...guess its an internet connection thing...

I can't say that I have had this problem but I just tested loading iTunes with and without an internet connection and the Applications sub-heading remained. Not sure what the issue is.

interesting...try quiting iTunes and relaunch it without the internet connectiong and see what happens...

I just tried it again with the Airport turned On and then Off and the Applications tab is still present when I restart iTunes. Maybe you could try reinstalling iTunes? Just in case.

i was talking about quiting iTunes and relaunching it while on my Mac...i seriously doubt that i need to reinstall iTunes

I did exactly what you said to do. Turn off the internet connection and restart iTunes. I'm telling you that my Applications tab is STILL present when I do this. I then suggested that maybe you can try reinstalling iTunes as the fact remains that no matter what I do I cannot replicate the problem you are referring to.
