Welcome to EIC!

Photos, contacts, and apps will sync both ways so that's not an issue. Your phone, however, will sync with the blank iTunes on your newly formatted hard drive. I would suggest looking for a program that will allow you to rip your music off your phone so that you can put it back into iTunes. I don't know of any programs off the top of my head but I'm sure you could do a google search and find something...or wait for someone else to chime in

iPhone PC Suite should help you out with what you're looking to do.
(assuming you're on a PC)

Sorry for the late response. That particular error refers to .net framworks. You might need to install Microsoft .NET Framwork 2.0. That should fix the problem. 0xc0000135 error is specific to that.

ok thanks that part helped.... but:

i have a few problems: I tried to add some songs to my iphone, and it synced and fineshed correctly, i ejected the iphone and when i went to look for my songs there werent any!! and when i connect my iphone to the computer it shows 11.38 GB of space taken up in "other".. 11.38 GB is around how much space of music that i had added..

so then i tried using the PC suite(after downloading the link from above) and i got this message:

"your iphone was unlocked by Ziphone, you need to install a patch, heres how to do it"

1.) enter; "i.unlock.no" to sources in Installer
2.) Find and install "Ziphone ibrickr fix" in unlocking tools of install in installer
3.) Restart Iphone

"Iphone Pc Suite cannot be used until patch is installed"

----
the problem with that, is i try to open the installer app on my iphone and it dosent fully load the app and then closes.. i cannot access the installer app!!

i appreciate your help in advance..

If you are just trying to pull your content backwards from your iPhone. Try Purple Ghost, works great...Mark

If you sync'd your iPhone to iTunes after formatting your hard drive, wasn't iTunes content wiped out also??? If so and you sync'd to iTunes with no content in iTunes. You basically told iTunes to completely erase your iPhone. I hope you saved your content to some other form of media, before formatting your harddrive, if not, you are screwded. You can dowload the songs you purchased from iTunes (given you haven't downloaded 4 times yet). Any other content you had that was not backed up is gone. And now that you erased your phone also, you can't even use it to put your content back in iTunes. I feel bad for you, please tell me you backed up your content before you formatted...Mark

Update: You can't redownload your purchased iTunes content. You get one download and are able to back it up four times, not download four times. Sorry for the misinformation...Mark
