Sorry about that, lady_bugz22 - my memory failed me.

I was trying to remember the scene
Where the v1 went to sixteen
I was corrected by Styfle
With whom I won't trifle
Since his memory is awfully keen!

From experience (I owned a V1 since launch and a 3G since launch) my white 3G has got the back scratched to hell. I am meticulous with the thing too. So I'm probably going to get the 3GS and I think I'm gonna try black this time.

Yeah, people tend to say the black 3G is a fingerprint magnet - and I'm sure it is - and give it a negative review because of that. But in my opinion, the disadvantages of the white casing are greater than that of the black.

I know this reply is late! but, now that I have 3.0 in my v1 16 GB phone, I'm seriously considering NOTE getting the 3G S. I know the S stands for speed, and the camera is better, video, mms, and better blue tooth, but $299 + $15/month seems a little steep for a guy on a fixed income.

The new 3G S, as nice as it is, does not offer enough for me to give up a perfectly working V1.

I think I have to change my vote. I still have my v1 and it looks like I'm not getting the 3GS...

May I ask why? Or is it personal?

As for myself, I'm going back and forth like a pendulum between getting the 32GB 3 GS and keeping my brand new refurb v1. Biggest plus would be not having to juggle media (mostly music) with 7.08GB storage anymore. Biggest minus is paying $15 more per month and no 3G service in sight for at least a year.

I need to make a flippin' decision then fuggitaboutit. All this internal back and forth is starting to make me feel silly (even though it is essentially a $480 purchase for the year).

I am so glad I waited for the 3gs instead of getting the 3g when it came out.

My V1 iphone served me well for almost 2 years, but it was time to move on.

The 3gs is like a totally different phone.

For all you guys on the fence, trust me, you won't be sorry . It might sound like just a minor upgrade on paper, but actually using the phone is a totally different story.

The internet on my V1 seemed ok , but now I already look back in awe that I put up with that crap for so long.

loading...loading...loading...loading...loading

Same for all the games, apps, and even the camera.

loading...

Now I see how asinine it was that it would lag for 5 seconds just to open up the text screen.
Or 10-15 seconds to take a damn picture.

So for everyone who thinks it's not worth it, at least take the time to check one out in person.
