Another "Other" Post....Sorry

I know this has been posted before, but when you try searching a forum for "Other" it doesn't always go so well.

Has there been any fix for this "Other" that shows up in iTunes when I sync my iPhone? I am now up to 470mb of "Other" I've tried clearing the Safari cache, hard booting, everything. I'm running the latest version of iTunes - 7.6.

i have almost 200mb of other.... guess that it is just there for now...

I have not tried it yet (not worried by the other) but it was mention to do a restore to clear it up (from the other post).

"Other" is data on the media partition that is not used by iTunes media.

NES Roms, ebooks, themes, jailbreak remnants, app preferences--and even the apps themselves if you've moved them to the media partition. These all contribute to the "other" category.

But sometimes it seems iTunes media gets "stuck" on the phone yet not available in iTunes. I once stopped syncing podcasts, video and music to clear out the iTunes content on my iPhone. When I synced it back my other category returned to normal (all else considered).
