Default ring tone

I think you should be able to select any song from itunes to set as your ringtone.

when i placed my first call i could barely hear the other person on the line with the volume up the whole way. this could be a big problem!

Being a "genius" then, have you solved any? I'd like an excuse to keep it, being as it is so pretty...

No way to organize e-mails into folders

Can't use it to carry documents home for instance

Dry wipes don't do squat
Video player stutters, drops frames and crashes
Dinky headphones distort at any heavy sound
Can't use real headphones because the plug is recessed
Batteries don't last a full day of activities (e-mail, ipod, light phone)
Takes FOREVER to recharge

I'll give it another day or so to max out the ooo and ahhh from others, but mine's going back
You need to just completely power down your phone and it will quit this. Mine was doing it last night. Power it completely off and then on again and it will solve the crashing problem.

Don't just lock it or put it in sleep mode, but completely power it down. Hold the sleep button until the slider comes up to power it off. Then power it on again (you'll see the Apple logo) and it will be good to go. Mine hasn't crashed like that once since last night when I did this and I've been using it all day for all kinds of apps.

Don't talk yourself into taking it back. I know how you feel because I was concerned last night when it kept going back to the home screen like that, but power cycling it one time solved all those issues for me.

Again,
Just toss it in the dumpster if you don't like it.

Why bother even writing about it?

John

To save others the headache and the expense?

Speaking of expense:

599
26 setup fee
840 monthly iPhone surcharge
=====
$1465 WOW!

If the e-mail actually worked, it might even be worth it.

ok guys while these solutions aren't ground breaking they do tend to work for me.
email trouble
if you are having trouble sending or recieving email try to turn off the iPhone and turning it back on then go into your settings and then turnon airplane mode leave it on for 15 seconds then turn it off.
If these don't work try to setup a new email address. Finally try to go to your Specific email site via safari and send email from that. It will work, att servers are swampped and that is why many edge activities mess up. I expect all of these problems to resolve themselves once att realizes that they need to work on un congesting their servers.

Crashes
crashes seem to occur when too much is going on. Try limiting your safari browsing to 2 windows or fewer and don't use it while you are google maps.

Sound problems
if you really can't hear use the earbud and microphone the quality is so clear and loud you won't need to worry.

Hopefully these tips keep you happy until apple fixes these

I could not agree more with him. Yes this phones design is wonderful. Everything from the touch screen to the merging of a cell phone and a ipod. Technology at its best? This phone is more suited for people who dont actually use their phone for work purposes. This phone cannot sync up to corporate mailboxes which is a HUGE HUGE drawback. If you spend more then 20 minutes on this phone you end up having ear grease all over that pretty display. Don't get me wrong this a great phone, JUST not for the 9 - 5 crowd. But hey to each his own go ahead and show off what your phone can do at your next starbucks meeting.
