Default After iTunes backup, music is deleted off iPhone...

Hi guys,

Can someone explain why every time I connect my iPhone to my laptop, after iTunes does a backup, it will delete ALL my music off my iPhone. I have selected to "Manually manage music." I did have the "Automatically sync iPhone when connected" option, but recently took this off after it deleted all my music, once again.

Is there a reason iTunes is doing this? Is there a way to stop a backup from creating, because it seems this is what is causing everything to delete. Or, will taking off "Automatically sync iPhone when connected" fix/help this? I'm too scared to plug it back in, as it may delete everything, for a fourth time...

Thanks!

What do you have selected on the Music tab in iTunes? Maybe the check mark for Sync music got removed or maybe it is marked to only sync "Selected playlists" and you have the selected playlist empty in iTunes. I would check those.

If you're manually managing your music, you must check your music tab to see if you have anything checked. If NOTHING is checked, all the music on your iPhone will be erased.

If none of that works it could be iTunes itself and

First I would Check For Updates in iTunes

If that does not work:

I would uninstall and reinstall iTunes.
