Default Activating current iPhone on another ATT line.

When I purchase the 3G iPhone when it comes out, is it possible to activate my current iPhone on another existing ATT account without removing the SIM? Would it be as simple as doing a full restore and changing the account when you activate it? I am currently running a jailbroken 1.1.2 phone, so if I wanted to sell it to someone with T-mobile, can I just download the unlocking software from installer and that would do it? What are some essential steps I would need to take before selling my phone? Any advice will help. Thanks!

Just have AT&T change what account is activated to the SIM. They can do it at the customer counter of any AT&T store.

If you're going to sell it, just restore it like Michael said. The new owner can do the jailbreaking and unlocking themselves just as easily as you can. You can avoid the "hey, I'm the guy that bought your iPhone, uh, it's not doing anything" phonecall by sending them a stock restored iPhone, a piece of paper with the link to ZiPhone, and a 20 page disclaimer.
