Does anyone leave their AC charger plugged into the wall all of the time? Recently my AC charger quit working--Apple sent me a new one and it works fine however, I'm wondering if leaving the charger plugged into the wall (connected to a surge protector of course) could have caused the premature failure.
I leave the charger plugged in with the dock connected because it is very convenient--every other evening I place the iPhone into the charger dock and the next morning just grab the phone and go, no hassling with setting up the charger and dock. I do know that leaving the charger plugged in uses some electricity but that's not a problem for me.
Mine has been plugged in for a month now non-stop and I have not had any problems with it. Maybe I got lucky but I don't believe that it requires being unplugged when not in use.
