Cool Transparent Icons to Show Off Your Wallpaper

Recent Updates (Available in Downloads Section of this post)
  • Updated icons for: Installer, Tapp, added Blinker and JohnTool for 72 icons in all.
  • Tapp has been added to the theme, for a total of 70 application icons.
  • 5 new icons, 1 updated icon as follows, New: Stumbler, Navizon, SwapTunes, SwapPhoto, Labyrinth. Updated: BeatPhone. 69 icons in all!
  • Added Contacts icon and another Tetromino icon, it changes its name every rev so far.
  • Added iTunes icon for 1.1.1
  • Added Books icon for a grand total of 61 icons
  • Added 9 more Icons for a total of 60, New: Customize, Colloquy, BeatPhone, XLaunch, RSS, Stocks, TextEdit, Light, Tetrominos
  • I've fixed display issues with the Nikotalkie and MobileCast icons, they should appear correctly now.
  • Added 10 more Icons bringing the total to 51
With the lack of new Applications to keep us busy, I've gone back to doing some graphics to help breathe some life back in to my iPhone. This time around I wanted to make something that you Wallpaper folks might like, Transparent Icons!

Now you can show off your Wallpapers with icons that will let the background gently pass through. I've also made them greyscale so that they appear like less of an eye sore above your background.

This is a work in progress and I don't have every icon available yet, so if theres something missing, please post it and I'll add it to the theme for ya!

This set currently contains 72 icons.

You can also use all transparent icons to show off your saucy backgrounds:

Downloads

Theme Download Link (SendSpace) (New link 10/19/07 7:10pm)

VW Background (Photo by Richcarl32, Color Corrections by me)

How To Install
  1. Download and Extract the "ClearCandy" folder from the zip file
If Using SSH:
  1. Browse to the folder var/root/Library/SummerBoard/Themes/
  2. Drag the "ClearCandy" folder into this directory
If Using iBricker/Breezy/Manzana
  1. Browse to the folder var/root/Library/SummerBoard/Themes
  2. Create the folder "ClearCandy" or whatever you prefer in this case
  3. Upload the Dock.png to this folder
  4. Now create a folder named "Icons" and upload all of the icons from the zip file to the Icons folder you just created (tedious I know)
Once the Theme is Transferred

You now have a few options, first off you can add your own wallpaper image by uploading your wallpaper as Wallpaper.png to the "ClearCandy" folder. You can also upload the VW wallpaper here to that folder if you'd like.

If you prefer, you can use your iPhone's Wallpaper by Turning Off "Theme Wallpaper" in your SummerBoard settings.

Finally, if you'd like to make your Dock icons appear in color as I have in the example above, just use Mobile Finder to browse to the Icons folder in the "ClearCandy" theme directory and rename the icon images you don't want to appear transparent. I just put a 0 in front of mine so if I want to rename them later they'll be easy to find.

Well I gave you credit for the photo even though I didn't know who it belonged to, I didn't take credit. I only stated that I color corrected it and that's what I'm taking credit for.

Edit- He was only joking!

No problems, I'm sorry I couldn't remember your name to give you credit originally, thanks for chiming in and bringing it to my attention. Your Uncle has a pretty sweet car, exactly how I'd like to get mine some day. A sleeper, it looks stock but boy is it quick

Alright, I hope we're all squared away now, I added your "actual" name to the photo credits now, not just "Original Poster" which kinda meant you, lol.

Thanks!

I'm working on getting this into Installer. I'm pretty sure I can get it on the Hightymes.org Source, but I'd prefer to get it onto STE so it goes into the mainstream.

I need to basically package it up with a background for it to be a complete theme but I'm not exactly sure what to use in this case.

i'd just put it with a dark, plain-ish wallpaper. The focus is the icons, after all. people are probably gonna switch wallpapers anyway.
