transparent icons - iPhone 3G

I was wondering how i could get my icons to be transparent on my home page. I saw it on a couple of posts here. I dl something called clear candy or something like that and saved it to a folder on my pc. What do i do next? Thanks for the help guys

your going to need to jailbreak first. then you can basically do any kind of customization you want to the phone.

i did the jailbreak, but now i can't figure out how to get the clear candy icons from my pc to my iphone. Any help would be appreciated.

There are so many diff themes out there. I would sugest two things.
1 go back to the thread were you saw them and pm the guy who posted them asking for the source and icon name.
2 you can also google iPhone summerboard themes and you can look for it there as there are many listed.

it was clear candy. I dl and extracted the icons from the zip. Now they are in a folder on my pc and i need to get them to my phone. Does this help any?

If you take an icon, and have a copy of lets say Photoshop, you can go in Turn the Opacity level down to about Half way to -65% and save the icon as a .png file and just slap it on a theme through SSH

I also turn the icon greyscale, it helps with the "transparency" effect. The opacity on the icon is 40%, and the opacity on the drop shadow is 100%.

i know i am sounding really stupid, but i dont have an icon for openssh on my phone. I went in and looked at the apps that i have on it and it is listed, but i don't know how to open it on the phone. Also, the photoshop that you were talking about in the above post do i install it on my phone also? I really need someone to break this ALL the way down for me lol. Thanks for your help guys.
