Resizing Images for Iphone (Windows or non-Adobe users)

Okay, heres how to make your own wallpaper, its actually extremely simple:


Go to download.com and dl a software called Vicmans photo editor, its absolutely free.

Once you've installed it, open it the software, then open your image by clicking File-> Open-> find image.

Once its open, go to Edit-> Resize-> and click off the check that says "constrain proportions". Then input the image size of 320X480. Thats 320 in the top slot and 480 in bottom. Hit okay and you've got a brand new wallpaper.

If your not sure how to get it on your phone, all you have to do is go into itunes, hook up your phone, find the photos or pictures tab and then find the folder you saved the image in. Once you find it sync your phone with the photo on it.

Once finished open the photo in your phone and click on it. Then click the little swiggly arrow and it will ask if you want to set as a wallpaper. Your finished!

PS. If you havent already, jailbreak your phone and download the downloader and then download summerboard! It makes your wallpaper permanent, not just when your about to unlock it.

dont mean to hijack your thread but i guess this would be a good thread to post resizing utilities for everybody to use...

my favorite has got to be IrFanView... it is free and it couldnt be simpler and in my opinion it is the most functional so far..meets and exceeds my expectations...lol, maybe i have low expectations.. ( i know you are thinking it so there, i said it... )

I actually just downloaded photoshop for their trail and I gotta admit it is niceeeee. But its only going to work for 30 days after that its like 1000 bucks!!!!!! And it takes up hella space.

I've tried this about 3 separate times now and I'm getting an error message each time. I save the picture to my desktop, open it in Vicman's program, click on resize, uncheck the box, 320x 480 and I get an error message every time. Am I missing something?
