Haha you are too funny I'm not going to argue with you but I would never have a 600 again for street use. I'm not saying you can't ride and yes I agree that 600 is more "flickable" to a small degree. One thing I never understand is how people can instantly talk trash against somebody over the Internet that they can simply say they disagree about. Oh yea I'm making up for my small....... Ears

I personally think it's all about the rider I can lead the pack in the twisties on my 600 and no ones passing me, you just have to be skilled and confident in your abilities, if a MotoGP rider had a 600 and I had a liter bike I'd get smoked if he had the liter bike and I had the 600 I'd get smoked. Plus ride what you like I love that fact that my front end will never pull up on me unless I clutch it up

its not about arguing, it is a simple known fact. unless you are a motogp, ama, or highly skilled track day rider, one will always be faster through corners on a 600. when i see people out riding, or sometimes stopped at a gas station, many say somethine like "nice bike, why didn't you get a 1000cc? couldn't handle it huh?" to which i just laugh and shake my head at them because they will never understand. imo they shouldn't even sell liter bikes to someone unless they pass a rigorous safety class as there are far too many inexperienced kids buying and wrecking them on the first couple rides. stay safe and keep the rubber side down.

I think you should need a 5+ year endorsement to ride a liter bike so much power even the brand new 600's seem like a bad choice for a first bike

I agree to a certain extent about the restrictions but it all comes down to your hand controling the throttle.

Well I'm sure you've been riding bikes for years like the rest of us so we know better but the guys and girls who go out and buy a liter bike for a first bike don't know what their getting into, most people don't know that the slightest difference in pulling the throttle is the difference between a good launch and a flipped bike. The 5 year endorsement would mean they know what they and doing and at that point your right it is their own damn fault but I still think a lot of lives would be saved and there would be a lot less injuries.

It's not always the bike. It comes down to the rider. I can ride my 07 busa all day in the twisties. 120 miles per hour+ in 45 mph curves depending how how hard I want to ride that day. A lot of people say you can't lean a busa in the turns but believe me you can. I wouldn't recommend doing it on a busa for a first bike but for experienced riders a busa can whip through those twisties. Yes a 600 is real nimble and easy to flick back and forth through those twisties but I can do the same with my busa. It just takes getting to know your bike and knowing its limits.

Enough talk....bring on the gsxr wallpapers.

I have 4 or 5 dudes i ride with a went out a bought turds (f4i zz6r katana) and within a month sold them and lost a crap load of $$ got 1000s and took a riden class took it slow and now are great riders. I think if you are not a dumb ass and have some self control 1000 arnt bad for a first bike. It will save you alot of $$ in the long run.
Ps. Ride Yamaha
