I'm sorry, I didn't know this was a website for haters. In fact, I actually do ride in shorts and a t-shirt, only because my commute to work is only a mile away and it's always 90+ degrees where I live. No reason to wear full leathers to ride a mile back and forth in 90 degree weather. Don't be so quick to judge, I like gixxers because I like the seat positioning and the control.

I ride a gsxr 600 and the fact of the matter is not every rider is gunna feel the same on a bike so to say one or the other is the way to go is misleading, sit on it get a feel for it and buy what your comfortable on...and I personally never leave the house without a jacket, icon jeans, gloves and boots whether its a mile or 500 miles, and that background is sweet thanks

good man, my buddy had a gixxer 750 and it was an awesome bike until he hit a deer at about 60mph. they are very awesome bikes and i was just joking around a little, all sport bike riders have a special bond. glad you wear your gear and stay safe!!

Oh well, we all need dreams and things to look forward to! To the OP-sorry to go overboard and hj your wp thread. I am getting tired and I am rambling.
Good post kokogirl. I'm 5'2 and ride a Harley Fatboy. If you truly want the Softail, then it's well worth the money. But ride what you can, as long as your riding. Softails have a low center of gravity and only sit 24 to 26 in from the ground. You get a sport bike, look to lower it. I'd like to try out a sport bike, but I'm afraid I won't be able to touch the ground without dropping it. I hear they are top heavy...

Good luck,

Carrie

lowering a sport bike isn't too smart. it takes a lot away from your handling.
i've read of people not being able to touch the ground at all on modern sport bikes but still ride them. as long as you can slide to the left/right and at least tip toe then you're fine at stop lights/signs.

i couldn't barely tip toe with both feet on my 06 600rr and i got around

Nice. The 2009 is redesign in the Touring series. We just designed our airride system for that couple weeks ago.
