Default First attempts at iPhone wallpapers

Aloha everyone,

I have begun using Photoshop to create some iPhone wallpapers for my personal use and thought to offer them to anyone else who may also share my interests. I currently have two sets up on Flickr, one for the USF Bulls and the other for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. The URL is:

http://www.flickr.com/photos/10083593@N03/

If you're on a Windows box and would like the file in .png format, let me know and I'll zag it to you via email. I'm not sure if you can download the .png files on a Macintosh, but will check after I get home from work today.

Aloha jjvaldez,

I don't have anything yet, but give me a couple of days and I'll see what I can work up. If you have any particular graphics you want used, let me know.

Aloha jjvaldez,

Check out my Flickr page - I put up two featuring RB Frank Gore. Let me know what you think.

Aloha jjvaldez,

I'm going to work on a few more for you, and should have more up by Saturday, hopefully. That way, you'll have other wallpapers come gametime hehehe

Aloha jjvaldez,

Can you access your iPhone via SSH? If so, send me the non-stock icons and I'll change the opacity for you. That's what I did for mine - I'll send you a pic once I get home (I don't have WiFi here at work).

Aloha jjvaldez,

I can walk you through the process, but I need to ask you a couple of questions first. Are you on a PC or a Mac? Secondly, do you have AppTap Installer installed on your iPhone? If so, have you loaded the BSD Subsystem yet? I ask the last two questions because it appears that you have Summerboard running on your iPhone. If AppTap Installer is already installed on your iPhone, everything else is then made much easier.

OpenSSH is a program that provides for a secure shell session, like a secure hyperterminal session (in Windows speak) between your computer and your iPhone. As such all you need, once OpenSSH is installed and configured, is WiFi connectivity to access your iPhone. Jailbreaking the iPhone to replace graphics, ringtones (YES, ringtones - these won't show up as ringtones on iTunes, but WILL on your iPhone), etc... is necessary. It is simple to set up and configure, and as easy to use as dragging and dropping in an FTP program. The program I use, Fugu, is actually SFTP (Secure FTP), so the interface is exactly the same as the FTP interface.

I'm leaving work now, so if you get the chance to answer this before I get home, we can get started that much earlier. I believe in empowering other iPhone users - I pass on any scant knowledge I have whenever possible, but I must apologize for not having anything written up for Windows (if you're on a Windows box). If you're on a Macintosh, head over to http://www.hacktheiphone.com to find Macintosh tutorials. I can offer a couple of ways to better streamline the process, however. I have to go now, but will check the board once I get home.
