Youtube iPhone format?

I thought that eventually all youtube videos would be formatted to work on the iPhone. Did I understand that correctly? If so, is there some date they expect this to happen? Just curious.

I'm wondering this too, what's the point of a youtube app if I can't watch my favorite videos?

At the time there r about 10 000 videos formated to watch on iphone. YouTube says that the whole repository will be avaliable by fall 2007.

The fall date is possible. Everyday there's tons of new videos trickling in... stuff that I searched that weren't there before is now uploaded.

I notice alot of people say that alot of youtube videos are not on the iphone and that it sucks, but i see alot, im not saying i see all, but theyre doing a pretty good job, considering they have to convert almost everything on youtube for the iphone when users are uploading thousands and thousands of videos a day.
