this is amazing! worked great first try with my google calendar account, no problems. (I opted to only sync calendar, not contacts or mail)

This thread should be stickied!

Who needs mobile me?

since turning off push this has since become a non issue.. however, before i set this up, i still had push on for some reason and it did not eat up the battery.

So my wife and I have separate calendars and phones, but wanted to both update to each other's phones with this google function so that we didn't schedule over each other. We each shared our own calendars with the other google account because it will only sync one calendar (your primary) per user from ical. When I put an event in ical it will always show up in my google primary. So what we have in google is both my and her primary calendars selected as the ones to view. This means that my ical on the iphone will display both calendars. When I put a new event in my calendar, it comes up in my primary google calendar, but since she has both, it shows up on her phone in ical and in google as well. This works the same way on her end.

It's an easy way for both of us to upload dates to each other's phones. We don't even use the mobile calendar version that google is using, we just use ical now and it's great. Uploads in like 20-30 seconds on both phones when an event is added.

yeah my beef with this is that i will have to use a new email address or get all my mail and stuff forwarded to mobile me.. i really wanna just stay on gmail.

i was wondering how nuevasync made any money.. theres no advertising and there seems to be a lot of man power going into this as well as server power. Why are they doing this for free?

Anyone know how to get multiple calendars to sync? I have 3rd party calendars (current movie releases) on my google calendar but they don't sync with my iPhone calendar.

WoW, great find. I love it. I have been waiting for this type of over the air sync since I couldn't use nemusync after 2.0. It is amazing how fast it syncs.

As far as syncing multiple calendar, I believe it has to be supported by the server. But as it is free, I will take it however it is. Syncing main calendar is fine with me!

Thank you again.
