whats the diff between iphone 1G(2.1) & 3G(2.1)
hey i was just thinking about updating my iphone 1G FW 1.1.3... i was just wondering whats the diff between 1G(2.1) & 3G(2.1)???

don't try to use the 3G version. you will NOT get GPS or 3G capability.
i don't know the exact differences, but i imagine it's just got slightly different driver software for the GPS and 3G chip.

I think he means to make sure when/if you decide to update your 1st gen phone, then make sure you use the 2.1 update for the 1st gen iphone, not the 2.1 that is used to update the 3g iphone. There are seperate 2.1 firmwares for the phones... And they won't work on the wrong phones anyway.
And yes, it's worth updating your 1st gen phone. Why people elect NOT to, I'll never understand. Good luck.

I know I saw an app for YouTube in cydia that let's you download... Don't know about google, though. I'm sure there proberly is...
