Not sure yet, hope AOL or Yahoo make a Messanger App. I hate the web based ones.

Messenger App, video recorder, and definitely some cool games. There will be so many to choose from that it's very exciting, I can't wait.

AOL showcased the AIM app they had been working on for only two weeks back in March when iPhone 2.0 software was officially announced by Steve. It looked pretty impressive already after only two weeks of development.

Also, when they were talking about running background applications during the WWDC Keynote Address, the application they demoed this feature for was a messenger application. Background AIM messages might just pop-up while the phone is in sleep mode just like text messages do, if you set it up that way. It should be quite useful and revolutionary to be on AIM at all times.

I'm looking forward to that, the Tom Tom application, and Loopt the most. Who knows what else? There will be so many, it will be hard to keep on top of which ones other people have that are the most useful.

I want some kind of To Do list like Remember The Milk that I can sync back and forth between my phone and computer.

I haven't read the SDK docs but I don't believe this will be possible since everything goes through iTunes. Only thing would be if they announced some type of plug-in model where iTunes could sync other apps for you. However, given that iTunes doesn't even sync something as basic as your Notes still...doubt they'd allow syncing a 3rd party app.

  1. Splash ID
  2. SlingPlayer for iPhone
  3. Some form of game, probably MonkeyBall since I've read good things about the game.

Finally, another SplashID fan

I had the original one for Palm years ago and although the product has hardly improved over the years for some reason I like it. I had the BB version for the last few years and just purchased the Symbian version for my Nokia.

I know they mentioned they were releasing an iPhone version so that's good news too.
