It's not a 3G issue... it's more GPS imo. GPS is not a particularly strong signal by itself and you have to lock onto at least 4 of those faint signals. And with all those different receivers in the case, you want as much surface area as possible. Of course better cell reception is a good thing too... especially with power hungry 3G, you're going to want as clear of a signal as possible or you'll be fighting tooth and nail for battery life.

I hope there is TomTom or TomTom-like software available. I need vocal, turn-by-turn, street navigation. I also want cut and paste, and voice dialing. I hope someone makes geocaching software, like GeoNiche for Palm.

From what I have read, there will surely be Tom/Tom or Garmin availible from the apps store. Many beleive apple didnt put this into the GPS because they did not want to deter TomTom from making a nice interface. So that will be a good to go I beleive.

I know they mentioned they were releasing an iPhone version so that's good news too.
Another SplashID fan here. I just switched from a PC to an iMac and was so relieved to find a Mac version of SplashID!

That's the only app I need. Yeah, right.
