Default Sherman, Set the Wayback Machine to July, 2007

I just updated my iPhone this morning (after letting all the I-Gotta-Get-Mine-Now updaters clear out), and was pleased to see that Apple has added a bulk delete feature to email.

When I saw the 100 on my email icon, I thought, hmmm, Apple must be setting this up to show me how the bulk delete works. I was quite surprised to find EVERY ONE of my old emails back on my phone, all the way back to the very first test email I sent from my iPhone. Nostalgic feelings for tripping back to when I first got my iPhone, this is a royal pain in the... but I digress.

Too bad there's no "check all" feature, because I just tapped my index finger about 1/2" shorter going through all those old emails to mark them for deletion.

Why can't Apple get this simple interface right???

Well, I updated to 2.0 from A PERFECT 1.1.4 jailbroken phone. What a mistake I made.
Now I have none of my apps that I was used to and loved. PLUS my battery is running down a bit faster than before too. Still testing that theory, but I swear it's running down faster.

I think I might reload the phone again... Anyone know of a way to backstep to 1.1.4?

Mine and my wife's both seem to be draining the battery faster. Not sure if there are apps running in the background or the phone is updating more frequently. It is also due to the fact that we are using them a little more setting up and using the new apps. Both phones are also slower to react and type on and freeze occasionally. I see a 2.1 revision coming soon to get some of the bugs out, or could just be Apples way of moving us V1 holdouts into the next generation

I think I just figured out the battery issue. Go into Settings and then under general, turn OFF location services. I don't even remember where this came from, but I don't need/want it.
Let's see how my battery does now.

*In addition* I also think that for those that have the "Official" 2.0 firmware and still complain of sluggish apps, you also need to turn off the location services.
From what I can tell, it at least twice as bad as having BSD Subsystem running in the background on your phone.*

yeah that was a concern for most...and it looks like the update locks it back to 'factory' standards...i'm not sure what will happn if you can go back...do some extensive research before you try anything...don't want you phoneless
