"other"???

What is "Other" in my iPhone (iTunes) and why does it keep growing even though I don't add any apps? Thanx for your time

It's a bug. It's been there since 1.13, and unless I haven't seen it, there isn't a fix for it yet.

So the orange part in the space bar in iTunes showing the room that movies and such takes up is a "bug"?

I thought other was the software, apps, themes etc.

That was my understanding, as well. Something related to a future update (sort of like a WM cabinet file) to be released at Apple's discretion.

The movies are displayed by the purple bar, music by the blue bar, and other by the orange bar.

There is evidence that this "other" shrinks in size dynamically when the space is needed (i.e. when you're loading up the phone with media). I've gotten mine down to almost 100MB by packing tunes onto my phone.
