No noticable difference here. Same crappy 3G. I upgraded about 3 weeks ago, so I am considering returning to my V1.
Question for those of you familiar with Apple, will these folks stand behind their product and fix this even if it takes a recall to repair or replace these phones? Or are we stuck paying 15 bucks more per month for twice as fast that can't find a signal? (until the inevitable lawsuit comes at least)
Edit: The least they could do is quit running that "twice as fast" commercial, I wanna throw my phone at the t.v. everytime I see it!

Had a little lag before the update, and i was only able to launch a particular game app once and it crashed everytime since (Cannon), now after the update there is no lag at all and the game launches everytime...so far,.. have to wait and see if this is a permenent fix over time though.
I don't know if it's a coincidence but I've had more dropped calls today (post-update) than I ever have since I owned the 3G. My girlfriend said that she didn't even make it to my voicemail on several attempts and it just cut her off. Also, I had a few dropped calls from my roommate and best friend too. I NEVER experienced any of these issues prior to this update. Anyone else in this boat?
i noticed in mail that in the preview it says to: before it did not say that. However still does not display forwarded msgs in email. the contacts are faster, but not sure if they will slow down again.
Cell Phone Junkie
this is ridiculous. Apple should list the bugs they are fixing so people can choose whether to update. Perhaps this is only an attempt to out pace the jailbreakers. Not a single confirmed, uniform improvement.
Another update that did absolutely nothing for me...
My only Apple product:
16GB iPhone 3G Black
w/ InvisibleShield on the back
I don't see any difference on my V1 phone.
