Maps Tracking
Anyone know if the Google Maps program can track and record my path with either the original iPhone or 3g?
Basically, what I want is to record the route I have taken and have it calculate the distance. I want to use it for my bicycle rides around town to see the path I rode and the distance I traveled. It does not seem to work with my original iphone updated to 2.0 software. |

The functionality of the Google Maps software is the same on the 3G iPhone as you see on your first generation iPhone with the 2.0 software - the only difference is that the 3G can pinpoint your location and show your movement on the map since it has a GPS chip, of course. There is no ability in that app to look at history or total miles traveled.
