mail with pics can't forward

I have received a couple of emails that have pics. viewed them through the Iphone mail program. My email is with Gmail. when I forward them to others, it asks if I want to include attachments and I say yep, and choose the receivers and send. they get the email words but no pics. what do I need to do for them to get the pics.

Do their phones or whatever have the ability to receive pictures? Have you tried send them to your PC? That would show you that the problem is not with your phone.

i know 2 of them went to pc's.

Try this just to see. Take a photo with your phone real quick, save it to the camera roll, and then open it and then email it to your PC. If that works then it's not your phone. If it doesn't work then it maybe something wrong with gmail or a setting on your phone.

Ok I clicked on a photo and sent it to myself. I checked it on my iPhone and it was there. I then forwarded it to myself from my iPhone, included attachments and hit send. Got it and opened it on my iPhone, no pic just a blue box with a question mark.

Glad to hear you're using this: I plan to keep it much more aggressively up-to-date than has been the case in the past, but don't hesitate to let me know if you find errors or need clarifications.

How long has it been since you've shut your phone down and then restarted it? If that doesn't help I would delete the gmail account from settings and then add it back.

Mickeylittle.......I know this is a stupid question but can you email a pic to your phone then forward it to yourself and receive the pic?

This isn't a Gmail problem. I have had the same problem ever since I got the first version iPhone and still have it on my 3G. It also happens to 3 of my friends that have iphones and none of us use the same email provider.

Daffy I just opened a pic from my carera roll on my 3GS and chose to email it to my phone's email (yahoo). I received the email and the pic was totally viewable. So yes it is working for me. Did you try to power down and then to reinstall gmail? If that doesn't help try a yahoo account and then you will be sure of what the problem is.
