It isn't something you can see. Remember, the keyboard is just an overlay on areas of pressure sensitivity. The underlying footprint for keys changes; the landing zone expands, not the template overlay. Great coding.

iPhone screens are capacitive, meaning they respond to the electrical current in your fingertips.

Me too, plus it now seems to take a long time for a keyboard to appear and to be ready for input. Quite frustrating.

^Updating to the new 3GS will take care of that problem, it's lightning fast.
