thank you for disproving that one for me. i dont have 2.0 so i was in the dark on that. now all i need is some international people to try this with their phone numbers.

ive been meaning to update this post for a while now as i updated a while ago. the trick with AIM absolutely does work with the AIM app from the appstore. i use it on a regular basis with no problems. good luck and happy tex....IMing
