Default IzyMail

I read on another site's blog about forwarding Hotmail to Gmail.
You can "fake" a POP for hotmail at
http://v3.izymail.com/register.aspx

I called but there is no option for Hotmail Premium. So, I called Hotmail Customer Support and they told that this service has been discontinued. If you were successful, please describe what you did once you dialed that number

MSN changed their host names in June 2007. For paid MSN accounts (i.e. user@msn.com), try these POP settings:
Incoming Mail Server Host Name: pop3.live.com
Outgoing Mail Server Host Name: smtp.live.com:25
(Try leaving out the port number out if it doesn't work the first time.)
Leave the Incoming/Outgoing Uses SSL "ON" and Authentication on "Password". You shouldn't have to enter these, they are the defaults.
For me, it doesn't download as perfectly as on the MSN client on your computer, but you can at least send from your MSN account!

Yes my error too, but caused in part by this misinformation. Why leave false information up that tells people to send money to Microsoft for a feature they don't offer? (Its very easy to edit a post - as I have just done, now twice, with this one.)

I have seen this wrong information in other places, so lets help people who are frustrated with this by cleaning it up.

The facts as far as I can see it is that to get pop3 service for Hotmail, you need to pay $9.95 per *month* for MSN Premium or do something like Izymail for $18 per year. There is a service called Hotmail Plus but it does not include POP3, and this is very confusing already because Yahoo has a service Yahoo Mail Plus which does.

Honestly, would not use Hotmail it sucks, but some people need this, so lets make it as clear as possible.
