For those interested in "chatting" go to google.com/talk on your phone. It's the same as beejive without the middle man. Connects directly through google. I just tried it and it works flawlessly!! No update needed. Try it and tell what you think!!
As usual from Google, their iPhone web app interface is well done.
Good option if you use Google Talk as a prime IM service *and* you're not jailbroken. If you are jailborken, there are much more powerful options that run in the background, combine multiple IM services and so on ...
I was so excited about this feature, I went on google/talk and entered my gmail email and password, but when I hit sign in it tells me "your browsers cookies functionality is turned off. Please turn it on" I went to Safari and changed the cookies to always accept and I'm still getting this message. Any other place I should look for the settings for cookies?
I am very disappointed in this gtalk application the version for the blackberry is streets ahead as it runs in the background. Google are fast becoming Steve jobs gimp!
