Yesterday I was playing around with the native google maps app and somehow I did something and I was able to bring up street view. I didn't know we had that capability, I've tried to replicate it many times with no results. Anyone know how to do this?
When you locate something or drop a pin on the map, if street view is available, there will be a little orange person icon on the label for the pin. Hit that to engage street view.
When you have your location, tap on the dot, should bring up a flag, on the left side of the flag is an icon with a person on it, tap that icon, if it's available it should bring up street view.
Not to be rude but I'm just pointing out that this isnt a feature of 3.0, it came out with 2.x probably to combat the G1 because the G1 can do it. It wasn't exactly advertised by apple and its not really used by most people (that I know of).
Theres a thread full of 3.0 changes/features called easter egg hunt if you want to learn more.
