just ssh into your iphone using winscp or transmit (mac) and look for etc folder and then the file called host open it with a editor and add this at the bottom of the text in a new line

i am on a mac and i just opened it with text editor so i am guessing on yours maybe wordpad but dont use Word because it puts other characters in you dont need.

I added exactly what you said to the hosts file, and replaced the old one on my phone, and still receive the server authentication error.
some times it does do that you have to turn off and turn on again and when that happens down the bottom it should say stuff like "handshaking and connecting" it does sometimes take a few tries to get it mine does exactly the same but this is only untill the sdk comes then i am sure we will see alot more chat programs.
