don't count on the "new" features. More than likely it's a couple of tweaks and bug fixes. At least that's what they're saying about the beta version of 2.2.

I want an icon in the top status bar that tells me if its on silent or not, I can never remember to switch it back.

depending on what they are addressing versus what they are adding, expect a couple more beta revisions first. I am quite sure that releasing before it's bullet proof is pissing Steve off. While it's been known to happen, it's not supposed to be the norm.

Very true! Here recently Apple has been Sub-par to the bar they set for themselves, that being a flawless, seamless software.

I see them getting back on track with the new 2.2 update though

I still get a lot of dropped calls. They get progressivley worse until I reboot the phone. Then everything seems fine for about a week or so and then they start again. The only way to fix it is reboot each week. Sounds a bit like Windows doesn't it!

I reboot daily just to make sure things keep running smoothly.
