Edit Home Screen via iTunes? - iPhone 3G

As I start to collect games, apps, and more icons on my home screen(s) I am finding it more difficult to categorize it. A lot of times the clip doesn't want to move over, or some other issue. Wouldn't it be easier to edit our home screen in some sort of option in iTunes?

Personally I'd like to see a folder system for the home screen. I hate having 3 pages of icons. I'd like to be able to categorize "games", "utilities", etc.

ive thought about this too.. and this is the reason my home screens are so messy, and i dont have the time to sit there and move every single icon where i want it to be.

Actually there was an App called Categories for the JailBreak community that did exactly what you are looking for. I hope it comes to the app store, but I may just have to JailBreak once I know it is out there again.

No sign of Categories in the jailbroken 2.0 world yet, I am waiting impatiently. Almost tempted to go back to my 1.1.4 jailbroken-self again just to get that and a few awesome apps back....
