Customize And Launcher Question

I'm a rookie when it comes to mods and I have 2 questions. When I click on launcher and customize the apps load for a second then quits. What am I doing wrong? Is there anyway I can use customize to make my email alerts louder? If I can't do it through customize can I change my alert using another app?

try restarting your phone to get customize to work or swiping your finger across the chichek when it pops up. the same thing may need to be done for the launcher, but i am not sure on this one as i dont use it.
